The Concept of Inspiration

Geisel

19x23 Acrylic, papers and gesso on canvas

19"x23" Acrylic, papers and gesso on canvas

I made this piece as an experiment for an art class. This is the undercarriage of the Giesel Library at the University of California, San Diego. Funding it’s completetion, the library was named after Theodore Geisel A.K.A Dr. Seuss; I thought the brite colors and whimsical nature really spoke to the work that Dr. Seuss had done in his long and respected career in the arts.

In making the piece I used Acrylic paint on canvas and art papers glued down and covered over with gloss gesso.

This work is currently for sale at $350

Signed Giclee prints at $150
